Your child will have opportunities to engage in a wide variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities. From participating in engineering challenges to exploring motion, gravity, and energy, your child will have a blast exploring the wonderful world of science.
Throughout the summer, your child will participate in service-learning activities that give back to the local community. These activities will help your child discover the power of kindness while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Your child will keep their mind sharp and avoid summer slide by reading all summer long. Our exciting and engaging summer book club provides your child with an opportunity to enjoy reading adventures, track the minutes they read, and celebrate their reading accomplishments at the end of summer.
Outdoor Antics at New Horizon Academy is a high-energy program that introduces your child to the fundamentals of health and well-being. Through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement, your child will experience the joy of being active.
The Kindness in the Classroom curriculum focuses on six kindness concepts that teach children important social-emotional skills: respect, caring, inclusiveness, integrity, responsibility, and courage. These important lessons are woven into daily activities through discussion, games, and activities to help your child develop these critical life-skills.
Yes! School-age children have the opportunity to attend off-site field trips to local parks, museums, zoos, theaters, and other fun locations.
Parental permission is required for participation in all off-site field trips. Please watch for permission slips and sign-up sheets to be posted in your child’s classroom, and please ensure that they are signed prior to your child going on a field trip.
In accordance with state law, New Horizon Academy uses booster seats on our buses for children until they are 8 years of age or 4 feet, 9 inches tall.
Yes! New Horizon Academy provides all meals for the Camp Discovery program.
When off-site field trips occur during a mealtime, New Horizon Academy will provide a meal that meets our nutritional requirements and standards.
New Horizon Academy also provides water throughout the day for all children enrolled in our program to ensure that they remain hydrated, especially in hot weather.
Yes! New Horizon Academy provides sunscreen for all children. Please speak with your director for details.
If your child is allergic or sensitive to the sunscreen New Horizon Academy provides, please speak with your director.
Parents are required to provide a swimsuit, towel, and water shoes for their child on water day. All items must be labeled with first and last name.
Yes, New Horizon Academy charges a summer registration fee for the Camp Discovery program. This registration fee is mandatory for each child attending New Horizon Academy during the summer months and helps cover the cost of field trips, special guests, and other summer adventures. This fee is not subject to discounts and is non-refundable, as it reserves your spot.

Yes! Children enrolled in the Camp Discover program (school-age only), will be allowed up to three weeks of “free” vacation time to attend summer camps, family travel, etc. without paying a reservation credit.
This offer is only good for full-week increments and can be taken three weeks in a row or during three separate weeks.
This offer does not apply to partial weeks, and you must notify your school director in advance to take advantage of this offer. This benefit cannot be combined with other promotions.

New Horizon Academy does a great job educating the children and exposing them to life and all the experiences. I especially love their summer program where they do a few extra activities with the kids and host in-house field trips with magicians, animals, firetrucks, etc.

Throughout the day, you will receive updates through a mobile app which allows our teachers to send messages, photos, videos, and updates on your child’s day. You are also welcome to use it to send your child’s teacher a message at any time.
